Vana
The legend
Vana — “the forest”.
Mughal gardens were paradise drawn in straight lines, and at their crossings stood vessels of green. Vana is a set of three turned cylinders in Udaipur Green marble — a portable grove for a courtyard or stairwell.
Each is hollowed from a single block with drainage cut in; the white vein network wraps every cylinder differently.
Every Vana is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: Ø 35 / 45 / 55 cm set, in a polished finish.
The char bagh divided paradise into four; every quarter was green.
