Tatva
The legend
Tatva — “the element”.
Stone, water, fire-warmed air, light — the old bathhouses of the courts were elemental machines. Tatva, the double vanity, carries the idea forward: two basins carved from one ten-centimetre slab of Golden Ivory quartzite.
A blackened-steel frame holds the slab the way a setting holds a stone — minimal, and entirely in its service.
Every Tatva is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 200 × 58 × 10 cm, in a leathered finish.
The royal hammam mixed all five elements before breakfast.
