The legend

Aadhar — “the foundation”.

In the durbar halls of the north, the dais mattered as much as the throne — black stone, laid first, carrying everything. Aadhar is that foundation made domestic: twelve centimetres of Bhainslana Black with the basin carved in, one stone, no seams.

It cantilevers from a concealed frame, so the black slab appears to rest on air — a quiet royal trick.

Every Aadhar is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 150 × 55 × 12 cm, in a honed finish.
