The legend
Meru — “the axis mountain”.
Meru — the mythical peak around which the cosmos turns — gives its name to this monolith: a single block of quartzite rising from the floor and flaring into a basin, no joints, no pedestal ring, no seam anywhere.
The striations run vertically up the column and radiate across the bowl, mapping the stone’s own ascent.
Every Meru is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 90 cm, one piece, in a honed finish.
