The legend
Stambh — “the pillar”.
The stambhas — single polished shafts of stone — were raised to say that what is written in stone endures. Stambh borrows their confidence: one column, one block, rising seamlessly into water.
Every Stambh is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 90 cm, one piece, in a honed finish.
Ashoka’s pillars have stood for twenty-three centuries.
