The legend
Dhara — “the stream”.
The Mughal char bagh ran water through its heart because paradise without a stream was unthinkable. Dhara is that stream domesticated: two turned bowls of Indian Statuario, a thin sheet of water falling endlessly from one to the other.
The plumbing lives inside the column; what you see is only stone and falling light.
Every Dhara is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 150 cm, in a honed finish.
Paradise, in the old gardens, was measured in running water.
