Vanalata

The legend

Vanalata — “the forest vine”.

The oldest surviving Indian carvings are not of kings but of creepers — vines winding over gateways, promising abundance. Vanalata continues that lineage: a flowering vine carved four centimetres deep into Makrana marble by hands trained in heritage temple work.

Each panel is drawn for your wall before a chisel is lifted; no two commissions repeat a single blossom.

Every Vanalata is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 180 × 120 cm · 4 cm relief, in a hand-carved, honed finish.

On the gateways of Sanchi, vines have flowered in stone for two thousand years.
