The legend

Shaila — “born of the mountain”.

In the hill gardens of the Aravallis, benches were not made — they were found, and barely tamed. Shaila keeps the mountain’s rough split faces and hones only the seat, so you sit on polished stone inside raw stone.

Two tonnes of quartzite, finished exactly where the body touches and nowhere else. It belongs to verandas, courts and gardens.

Every Shaila is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 200 × 42 × 45 cm, in a split-face + honed seat finish.
